“I’m not worried about who’s on the cover of which magazine next week,” Steve Sarkisian said, according to ESPN. “I’m more focused on whether each guy is focusing on what they need to do to develop into the best player they can be. Quinn has a full year ahead, but I don’t want to hold Arch.” back. I want to see how far he can go with this thing and what it can look like.’

However, Ewers is a highly acclaimed recruit himself, ranked No. 2 in the class of 2021 before moving to Texas from Ohio State.
Ewers was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year in 2022, started 10 games and threw for 2,177 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions.
However, Ewers had trouble stretching this past season, leading many to believe that Manning would get credit as a true freshman.

“This winter it just feels natural. He throws the ball well,” he continued. “I think he’s emerging as a leader. I see him tearing down the team, I see him doing those things that are positive. And I think what he’s done, he’s serving for Arch, ‘Hey, this is what it is ‘. looks like. And this is how you should do business.'”
Texas improved in Sarkisian’s third year8-5 after a 2021 season in which the Longhorns finished under .500.
