Season two of Aditya Roy Kapur`s `The Night Manager` to have its own twist
Adapting a highly popular series may come with trappings, but creator Sandeep Modi has struck gold with The Night Manager. The first part of the Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala starrer, which is based on the 2016 British original of the same name, has been acclaimed by critics and viewers. As fans await the next chapter of the Disney+ Hotstar show, we hear that the second season is underway. A source reveals: “The team at Banijay Asia, the production house behind the Indian adaptation, is discussing concepts at this stage. Scripting will begin in June, after the show’s second chapter begins streaming. The makers plan to bring it to the floor early next year.”

However, sources tell us that the Indian version will not be an adaptation of its UK counterpart in the future. “This time, the creators are working on some new ideas that are neither related to John le Carre’s book that was the basis for both shows, nor to the English series,” the source adds.
