If you need something to beat the Monday blues — look no further.
Over the weekend, Rob Gronkowski took to the stage with Vanilla Ice during a charity event in Florida, with the 32-year-old tight end busting a move to “Ice Ice Baby.” As Gronkowski moved about the stage, he even grooved with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle as the 54-year-old rapper performed for the crowd.
Although Gronkowski appeared to have a ball with his new pals, the five-time Pro Bowler — who has not yet decided if he’s going to play this year — also spent some quality time Saturday with an old friend, Julian Edelman.
The former Patriots receiver, 35, was spotted at the event, where he got chummy with his good pal Gronkowski.
“Always nice catching up with old friends,” Edelman captioned his Instagram post on Saturday.
Although Edelman formally retired in April 2021 after 12 seasons, the former Patriot trolled the masses on April Fool’s Day last week, teasing an NFL return but with the Buccaneers.
Tom Brady — Edelman’s favorite quarterback — famously ended his retirement last month after 40 days to return to Tampa Bay. Though it’s unclear if Gronkowski will be joining him this year, Brady will be playing under new head coach Todd Bowles, who replaced Bruce Arians last week.
