According to news reports, three children were killed and two other children injured in an attack on a home in Texas on Friday.
KTVT-TV reported that around 4 p.m., paramedics responded to a call at a home in Italy, Texas, and two people were airlifted to hospitals by helicopter.
WFAA-TV reported that a woman was taken into custody following a stabbing at the Ellis County home.
The station reported that the woman was the mother of five children, who were victims of the attack.

WFAA reported that the Child Protective Services office visited the home and reported the attack to the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to an email from The Associated Press requesting additional information.
“We are shocked by this incomprehensible tragedy and are already working with law enforcement to investigate how this happened and why,” child protective services said in a statement shared with WFAA.
