What are the earliest memories of celebrating Holi that come to mind?
When my father was in the police force, I collected Rs 50-100 from people and arranged a DJ at the police headquarters. The celebrations were just like you see in Bollywood movies. I was responsible for the decoration and the arrangement of the food.

Crazy experiences related to bhaang?
I had once visited a village and didn’t know bhaang was served, I drank 2-3 classes thinking it was lassi. I was beaten up by my mother that day.

My favorite color is yellow, but I also play with red on Holi.
Delicacies or special food prepared at your home for the festival?
My favorite sweet that I enjoy on Holi is gujiya. When I am at home with relatives, I try to prepare gujiyas for the neighbors with my mother. I have yet to decide on my new house and so I was unable to prepare homemade gujiyas and dahi vadas this year.

I like to dance to ‘Do me a favor, let’s play Holi’ from ‘Waqt’ because Priyanka Chopra is my favorite actress. Other favorites are ‘Balam Pichkari’ from ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Holi khele Raghuveera’ from ‘Baghban.’
