Preparations for Navratri are in full swing across the country. Since one of the main highlights of Navratri celebrations in the country is the traditional dance form “Garba”, people in Udaipur are getting ready to unleash their dancing avatars in a cinematic yet unique way.

Members of the Creation Group in Udaipur gave Garba a twist by performing it in a swimming pool at one of the schools in the City of Lakes. The members including girls and boys played Garba on Darshan Rawal’s hit song ‘Chogada’ from the movie ‘Loveyatri’ starring Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain.

The members show off their dancing skills in the pool while wearing heavy Garba outfits and jewelry. Isn’t that commendable?

One of the girls who performed Garba in the pool told ANI, “It wasn’t easy to perform Garba in the pool, but we really wanted to do something different and with our dedication and hard work, we did it.”

Navratri, which is dedicated to the worship of Maa Durga and her nine avatars – Navdurga, begins on September 26 and ends on October 5. Navratri celebrates the slaying of the demon Mahishasura and the triumph of good over evil. Devotees worship the nine avatars of Maa Durga during the nine-day Navratri festival, seeking their blessings. Each day of Navratri is associated with an incarnation of the goddess.
